Happy St. Green Person's Day, fellows. May none of you be pinched.

Also, if you haven't heard of it, you might want to check out St Baldricks organization. It's for the cancer kiddies: http://stbaldricks.org/

That'd be cool.

That's one of the places I'd like to be, eventually.

Saint Patty.: Patron saint of hamburgers

leprechaun: advance scout for leparmy (you have to say it out loud)

And why are four-leaf clovers lucky? Any that grow get ripped out of the ground and smashed flat in a book, doesn't sound lucky to me.

Nonsense. Haven't you heard of the legendary Seven-Leafed Clover?

The thing traveled space and time to return to it's owner, and he left it in the ground for all to see. As it were.

I think I like the pony one best.

What does it mean to be at the top of the town? On a roof somewhere?

  :computer: No, I meant like at the top of the road, sort of, the town is on a hill, I was near the top, the start/end of the town where the shops end, It was less busy up there...lol...

Oh. I've never been in New York at the right time to see it, but the one in Denver has been pretty awesome in the past.

The funniest part is that Saint Patrick himself wasn't Irish, but Welsh.

What's funny about that? He's famous for what he did in Ireland, no?

Not funny "ha ha", funny "that's obscurely interesting".

Post subject:  Re: St. Patty.

Actually i have read something farely recently that says the snakes of that legend could be interpritted as polytheisists. Since he is the one that drove christianity into ireland and drove the celts and other polytheistics

And druids.

Post subject:  Re: St. Patty.

Yes, the legend is generally referring to the banishing of evil and "uncivilised" religions, paganism stuff. But the real reason for there being no snakes is that its an island, and they just never got here. Me and my brother have plotted a few ideas to introduce snakes here a few times, lol. 8)

Hah. I knew you were too afraid of Samuel L Jackson to try putting them on a plane.

Author:  Falconer [ Fri Apr 10, 2009 2:05 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: St. Patty.

Everyone respectfully fears Samuel Jackson. Except Hayden Christensen.

Author:  Silentiea [ Sat Apr 11, 2009 12:20 am ]
Post subject:  Re: St. Patty.

Secretly, Christensen is the most terrified of all. He just thinks it makes him look manly when he stands up to Mr. Jackson.
