In fact, it's just plain rude, even in real life, and not advisable.

Welcome to the board mi'lady, and don't be afraid of Chal, just don't do anything stupid like I constantly do... but try not to pay attention to Jish, Sil or jake's traps...ignore them, and they will go away. the traps anyway. It's impossible to ignore Jish.

See? All of that ^^ was me not paying attention to Jish. The traps don't really go away, they just hide for a little bit before they jump back out to eat you in your sleep.
