I myself like both, but dragonlance better, what do you think?

I think you forgot the Pern series. That's what I'd choose (or is it spelt some other way?). Actually I've still yet to find a good seris, but I like the Pern ones all right.

I forget who writes it, but there's 3 books, 2 of them are Dragon Song and Dragon Singer.
As the blade cuts deeper, the blood pours more, will this finally bring me happiness, or shall it be just another failed attempt?

what're you talking about chalgrish?
and asaphier it's a very long series. so i'm gonna give you a very short overview. cuz i just came across the first book a month ago.
Earth sucks. People find this system that might work as an alternate Earth. they called it Pern. One expedition goes and explores. never returns. Second one goes with everything they need to start over and that's exactly what they do. Pern becomes the new earth. but they'res another planet in orbit that gets so close that it drops stuff called " thread" onto Pern. "thread" is silvery and it kills everything it touches. it can't travel through rock. So the people find places called"holds" and that's where they live. There are miniature dragons there. scientists catch and tame, and do some genetic work on them and make them large and ridable. this is how they combat thread. the dragons teleport to different spots and blow fire by eating firestone. or something... it's been a while. that's basically it. sorry. that's all i got.

What Draches said was roughly right. There is a bit more behind it but its really for you to read and find out what it is. Only thing wring with Draches plot summary is the first expedition did return, as the first one was out looking for inhabitable planets.
