What do you see?

Post by Makla »

i have a natural curiosity about what people see in certain pictures. i loved hearing of the different views each person has about the visual or emotional aspects of a painting.
i want to hear your views of my painting, The Forgotten Angel.

I think a better name for the picture would be "Fallen Angel".
It's a cold picture. Wintery. Painful. The angel is looking away from the viewer. Looking up at its former home. Its wings are tattered from the fall. There's a shock of red in its hair. Is it blood? Maybe. The thought saddens me. But yet, I'm curious as to why it has fallen. What catastrophe has befallen this beautiful creature?

i see it the same way as ersska but not in the same story opinion.

i see it as an angel looking upon the life it had once had, but is now an outcast forgotten by it's people. they're staring up at a black midnight sky wishing to return to their life and feel the love of those close to them.
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.
