Most probable places to find Dragons
What would you say the most probable places to find drafgons are? I'd say they would be places deep in forests or on mountain where no-one has ever been. On a side note would anyone organize or go on a trip to search for them? I'd like to set an organization up to search for dragons.Maybe S.O.T.I (Search for Other Terrestrial Intelligances. Ones already found: Dolphins.) If anyone could help?

I agree with Falconer. I would imagine a dragon would seek solitude with a food supply on easy access.
So a cave near a cattle grazing ground might be most likely.
Having said that there are tales with dragons living in almost every known habitat from palaces to marshes and from forests to caves. So any answer is possible.

I guess it depends on what angle you look at dragons.
Some (like myself) would say the nessie, like others such as Grendel, Typhon, Aapep and Hydra are all of the dragon genre but feel these days a dragon is a dragon and is just related to the sea serpent.
Others think that all lizard or serpent based creatures are dragons.
And still others think that unless it fits a dragons description exactly it is not a dragon.

That also depends on how you define a dragon. Some would define it as a large serpant or lizard is a dragon. It doesn't have to have wings and flames.

Not always, it depends on the dragons. Some of the dragon kings in Chinese mythology lived in the sea, though very deep in the sea. Some of Chinese dragons were celestial an lived in "heaven" and yet more of them lived amongst the people.
It does very much depend on how a dragon is defined. I couldnt agree more with that.

SOTI, of course. It'll have a section where people can members can whittle down all the sightings of Dragons, Faeries, etc, down to a few reliable ones. There'll be the introduction, a forum, join up, things like that.

Yeah, your group can whittle through the two or so credible sightings per year that show up.[/sarcasm]
dont get me wrong, but dragon sightings aren't like ufo sightings. there aren't a whole heckuvalot of credible sightings that merit investigation.

if they can be in water, I'd say the Trench. The Marianas Trench isn't really explored. At all. We've dropped people down to the bottom of one point on the Trench, but there's plenty left to be seen.

Falconer, the point is to sort out the Wheat from the Chaff. The point is to find the credible.
Sil, any Dragons would have been crushed to death in the Marienis Trench. If they're underwater they could be anywhere. The oceans leave a lot to be explored.

Certain breeds of fish have adapted to withstand great pressure- so much so that when some are brought up to the surface, they simply explode because they're not used to it. We just don't know what's down there, full stop, as we haven't been *right* to the bottom.DragonRider wrote:Sil, any Dragons would have been crushed to death in the Marienis Trench. I'm just saying that sorting out the chaff isn't important when there's no harvest.DragonRider wrote:Falconer, the point is to sort out the Wheat from the Chaff. The point is to find the credible.
The Loch Ness monster is probably either a plesiosaurus or a water drake.
