Salve, mea mox est multi amice!

Post by telestriation »

Or, for you non-Latin speakers, "Hello, my many soon-to-be acquaintances!"

I've actually been around here since back in the days of Chalgrish n' Serenity.... And Exanderous... And I can't rattle off any more. It's just recently that I decided to stop lurking and watching and finally join this community, shades of neon though it may be.

I also seem to have accidentally not capitalized the first letter of my alias... Mea culpa.
Telestriation; Noun. Frm Latin tele+striare, to bend. The act or presence of manipulation of things from a distance in subtle, non-physical means. syn., orate, preach

Welcome to the Boards!

You know Latin? Cool. I want to learn it. And translate any really old books on Dragons. If I find some can you translate a few parts?

I know Latin fairly well... Takes me a while to go from English to Latin, but vice versa is well within my realm of ability... Just expect a few colloquialisms to be taken advantage of.

Hello and welcome.
I have to say I am slightly enveous of your abilty to speak latin. My highschool didn't offer latin, just spanish. Aparently the school system where I live has deemed the population in my area too dumb to learn anything besides spanish. I hated spanish class, it makes me glad I'm finished with school.

Woops, look at me blabering on! welcome again.

latin makes me jealous, i'm a german girl and have no idea on any spanish besides what you hear when you're babysitting little kids who watch Dora and Diego.

Welcome, and slowly lose sanity with us. it's the best way to go.
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

And I go to a school that doesn't even teach French, let alone Latin (though I may be able to get them to teach me, someone else did) *sigh*.
