Its my Birthday!!! Now I can drive? O_o

Post by Blue Tiger »

Well, what im talking about is that now im 17 I can officially drive. This is the age in the UK and Ireland. Is this the same in other countries?
Well, here in Ireland, I have to do a theory test first, Is this hard?, and then I can get a provisional license. I cant wait to start learning but the huge waiting list to get final lessons is scary, so I might be waiting a while. Still, I havent even tried to drive yet, I hope its not too hard...

Well good luck with that. That is one of the best parts of life. And as far as I can remember 17 sounds about right for driving in the US.

Congrats. I think here, in the states, the youngest a person can legally drive at is 16. Too bad I'm 5 years older than that and still can't drive. Hope you get your license or whatever it is you get in Ireland.

I think its a permit at 14 or 15, then full driving rights a 16 or 17, at least in my corner of the USA.

Theory tests, and a driving test too. Bleh. After my two oppsies though I don't have a car to drive. :(

I won't learn to drive. Not going to pollute the world in that particular way. Of course if the US ever gets out of coal then I'd drive one of these: www.teslamotors.com

I'm not legally allowed to drive until I'm 17 (in three years) but I'm not going to let that little minor legality stop me

I'm going to build a trike! An electric trike that comes under the same juristiction as a bike!

I know in India the age limit is 10

Oh man, I just got my provisional today, driving is soooo fun! Now i can take over the wor... I mean, serve my community, heh heh.

In Rhode Island the min age to get a permit is 15 1/2 but you have to take a 33-hour driver's ed course beforehand.

Bleh I remember Drivers ED.

I almost failed because I told the teacher he didn't know what he was doing, never took notes (Which he wanted to be turned in at the end of class, so we couldn't study them wtf?) And in general was a load of shi. . .taki mushrooms.

I don't have much room to talk though. . .I got two oopsies on my record.

In missouri it's 15 for a learners permit, 15 and a 1/2 for a motorcycle license, and 16 for a drivers license. I'm 18 and I still don't have a license :(
I'm working on it though :D

My thoughts when I found out about this car:

Electric car! 150 miles to the charge! 2-4 hours to charge! Only $27,000! Awesome!

*reads*

Motorcycle license!? Only available in CA!?? Not f*ing fair!!!!
