St. Patty.

Post by Silentiea »

Happy St. Green Person's Day, fellows. May none of you be pinched.

Also, if you haven't heard of it, you might want to check out St Baldricks organization. It's for the cancer kiddies: http://stbaldricks.org/

happy pi day too!
Now and then I announce "I know you're listening" to empty rooms. If I'm wrong, no one knows. And if I'm right, maybe i just freaked the hell out of some secret organization. It's basically Paschal's wager for the paranoid prankster.

That'd be cool.

Saint Patty.: Patron saint of hamburgers

leprechaun: advance scout for leparmy (you have to say it out loud)

And why are four-leaf clovers lucky? Any that grow get ripped out of the ground and smashed flat in a book, doesn't sound lucky to me.

Nonsense. Haven't you heard of the legendary Seven-Leafed Clover?

The thing traveled space and time to return to it's owner, and he left it in the ground for all to see. As it were.

I think I like the pony one best.

What does it mean to be at the top of the town? On a roof somewhere?

Oh. I've never been in New York at the right time to see it, but the one in Denver has been pretty awesome in the past.

The funniest part is that Saint Patrick himself wasn't Irish, but Welsh.

Actually i have read something farely recently that says the snakes of that legend could be interpritted as polytheisists. Since he is the one that drove christianity into ireland and drove the celts and other polytheistics

Yes, the legend is generally referring to the banishing of evil and "uncivilised" religions, paganism stuff. But the real reason for there being no snakes is that its an island, and they just never got here. Me and my brother have plotted a few ideas to introduce snakes here a few times, lol. 8)

Everyone respectfully fears Samuel Jackson. Except Hayden Christensen.

Secretly, Christensen is the most terrified of all. He just thinks it makes him look manly when he stands up to Mr. Jackson.
