sorry if i seemed rude i was only asking tempest to either move this topic to the right place or get rid of it if that was not possible

no disrespect intended i think this is a valid question and i don't think many people will take notice of it while it is here and i'm not sure temp or vamp will be very happy its here either but since you are new i wouldn't worry about it beginners mistake

and i already said i think it depends on the dragon and i think it at least is possible albeit more in a brotherly way

Moved.

I would say maybe. Again like with Koko the gorilla, she loved and cared for a couple of kittens. And was saddened when one died.

Yea, I am just trying to follow the thought of "creatures that 'love' other creatures." But as the idea has been going, it may be more of a "pet" type caring.

For a  type of love to felt. the one loving must possess a certain degree of intelligence. So, if dragons are sentient beings, then yes, it's possible. But if they are only animals, then no, a romantic love outside of their species isn't possible.

I personally think that dragons are as inteligent as human beings so if that is the case then it only stands to reason that it would insult dragons to say that they do not feel love as we do but the species barrier would make loving a human as we would love a lover is to vast for any but the rarest occasion

so i think that unless it is that one in million chance most dragons will only love humans as pets or family but not lovers

Even if they are beings falconer they wouldn't even try to make a human a "Lover" but as a pet (in other words" petty" love)

this is a 4/6 vote falconer

Well read St. George and the dragon. The dragon there only ate the maidens when it no longer wanted sheep. It acted purely like an animal.

Don't tunnel vision when working thing like this out. The very little information we have is very sketchy at best. Look to the Chinese dragons, they have a number of stories of dragons loving humans. Both male dragons loving female humans and female dragons loving human males. While you will find stories that work the other way around just as much.

1) starvation douse many things to many things. I think that dragon of st. George was starving cause of lack of food and tried to get energy.

Not having enough it was only able to go a short distance from its cave. the sacrifices gave dragon energy to hunt for food, destroy a village and eat. Let’s not forget that in the story it ses that the dragon was diseased and so was the water it needed to drink to live.{ also would mean that the dragon would drink as little as possible cause of its cleanness }

2)true we don't have much info about the subject but we all do have thearys :D witch is good enough in this case cause any of us could be wrong and all of us could be prooven wrong :)

3) again I think that love betwean ALL kinds dragons ( even chinese) and humans would be able to only have pet love for eachother not mate love.

The day biological facts are determined by majority vote I will give that kind of statement a modicum of consideration. Until then, I stick with logic. And for the record, I only said it was possible.

I am agreeing with falconer, dragons would fall in love with a human if they are sentient enough to do so, consider all the myths with that in common.

when i posted earlier i was in agreement with falconer i was only pointing out that although it is possible it is unlikely because of species barrier and i only meant they can't "love" as in have children
i never said it can't happen and i would applaud any coupling although i still think a brotherly sisterly love the more likely
