Radio

Post by Marik »

Having been going through a phase of listening to a lot of radio shows at the moment, I was wondering how much other people listen to it. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, every other active member is from the States so referencing anything to do with specific programmes would be a little pointless but nevertheless. I am currently listening to Radio 2 (BBC) for my musics, and various old Radio 1 and Radio 4 shows (In particular this one (Lee & Herring's Fist of Fun) and this one(Banter)). I also listen to the Goons, which I fervently hope at least one other person will have heard of. I listen to a local classic/jazz station as well.

I am interested to know what national or local stations there are in the USA and what sort of stuff is broadcast on them? What do you listen to, music or shows? Or both?

Radio 1, 2 and 4? Yay! Another person who likes all three!

I don't know about America, though, since I live in Provincia Novem of the European Sovet.

Eh? There was a thread on here about where everyone lives, and it's pretty much divided between America and Britain with a few people from other countries.

Although, I *am* American...

Ich bin ein Amerikanischer.....maybe improper German....but better than being a Jelly Doughnut.....

See, i pretty much just listen to Pandora online for music....being the picky bum i am. But for news and classical music or when i just want something to eat away at my soul for the sake of not having a full one....I listen to NPR (for all of you across the great wide waters: National Public Radio) I got to learn all about ginger in foods one day.....while i was on the highway, getting lost....i could have died.
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

Yea, when I listen to radio I'll play NPR. Otherwise I'll just play a cd or ipod.
