oh bother....
they lay eggs to further the existence of their race....only some dragons inhabit the bodies of others not all....they don't give birth because they're not made to do so....i.e. they are at least somewhat reptillian thus eggs.

Asking why a dragon lays eggs is like asking why a human gives birth. Completely useless. The only answer to that question is "Because they do".ice dragon wrote:i thought that it wuold be easer just to give birth

its probably because they r more closely related to reptiles (scientifically) and reptiles lay eggs
and if u think about it they could also be related to birds(scientifically) cause they can fly and birds lay eggs too
