once

Post by wut2say »

i did a poem before but it wasnt really good i was wondering if this one was better:

once
i thought i heard a roar

once
i thought i saw some wings

once
i thought i heard my name
soaring through the breeze

once
i heard a little snuff
from somewhere in the trees

once
i thought i saw some eyes
staring through the leaves

are you out there watching me
as ive always felt

or am i simply coincidence
on your search for some one else

once
i thought i saw you watching
from high up in your roost

once
i watched a hatchling fly
for the first time with a boost

from the nest of its old home
as it went to find its own

and then i felt you watching
again like in old times

are you still there watching me
as all these years go by

It's good...

But then again, I've never been an expert in poetry. In fact, my poetry is widely accepted as the fourth worst in the entire universe...

Anytime...

However, if I put one of my poems on here, you may not survive...

It is recognized as the fourth worst in the universe, after all...

I recited it into the winds one day, and BAM!!! Hurricane Katerina...

Poems don't have to have an iambic petameter for them to be good...

But then, what do I know about poetry???
