Can i just say that it is possible to to a dracology Course in College as i am going there To study next year! By the way thats only England though dont Know about America!

Well im goin college next year to study Dracology so i wil be lol but its really hard!!

hey im sittin herein school and was looking up dragons and found a way to communicate to the outside world so ya i'm a pretty big dragon fan and wouldnt mind knowing more about them if anyone thinks they know soething i dont

i both have it and have read it along with the complete book of dragons and i have filled the handbook out

even if you did find dragons wile you were searching for them you wouldn't to be able to get it published because nobody really believes in them.

Ok, this is me speaking to you as a fellow dragon lover. Please don't go to collage asking for the corse in dracology. Because they don't have it. You best idea is to become a Lit or history major and study the myths of dragons and how the may have come to being. And don't go into it with ideas from most books written in the past 50 years, most of these are fiction and not based in a lands history and folklore. Trust me on someone who is struggling to find a job out of college, it is not easy. And if there is a major in it somewhere I would like it if you posted the example where it is.

I would just like to say something to kair. That dragon that he has, kiwi, there is a way to check if it is male or female without it mutilating and burn ing you. Look at the tip of the tale. It looks almost like the ace of spades. If it is broad and not very long, and the horns are long, it is a male. If the tale thingy is long and thin, and the horns are short, it is a female. Plus the color may have to do with something, but not too sure.

The "movie" was just that, a movie. It is on the same grounds as the radio play of "War of the Worlds" or "This Is Spinal Tap". Both of those programs had believers in them when they were aired but they were just acting. Just pull some logic of their many, many mistakes and you will see it was an adequately done documentary.
Example: How would a T-rex skull not shatter after being struck hard enough to leave a gash in it and then burnt enough to leave burns for several million years?

Now I am not putting down the level of intelligence of 4-12 year olds. What, that is from starting school to about 6th grade or so? I don't think something made to convey to that education level can be called a world renowned dragon expert. I would call it to the level of basic math compared to high-level physics. So I would rather keep my thoughts on the mythic ideas of dragon history and how they are found in legends around the world. I think they are much like the vampire, a look at something not understood and can be written off as something you don't need to see. ((note: vampire legend can be found around the world as easily as dragon legend.)

Now don't take this is my disbelief in dragons. I am trying to wade through the misinformation and pull only things that can help. I may skim through this mans work next time I am at the book store and find out how much of his work is researched and how much he just made up on the spot.

Quite frankly, kids and teenagers need to get a grip on reality. I love dragons as much as anyone here, but for the love of me, I can't understand why you won't just hope that somedays a person will splice bat genes with like lizards genes and create a dragon. Note that you can't accept everything as reality. Life just DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. Dragons, vampires, dwarves, elves, fairies, Bigfoot, Hogzilla, etc. are all physically feasible but they havn't been proven.

Well I take anything written after J.R.R Tolkien as possible fiction. I am not putting him down. But he is the start of really great fantasy writing. And his use of dragons opened up the use of dragons in other writings. My idea of "fact" comes from the myth and folklore of the past. I know it is hard now with so many books with dragons in them, so many things out there just putting their own ideas out there. And there is nothing wrong with that but you need to look at everything as fiction until you can see if you can find any fact into it. And then work out the how and why of it.

And I didn't say it was written by 4 year olds, I said it was written for 4 year olds. In fact the writer Dugald Steer is a children's book writer. Just look at some of his other works. Link to here Now I am not saying he is a bad writer or anything, I am just putting out his books are works of fiction for children. And it is even call a work of "faux nonfiction" in a review of the book.

Note: Faux nonfiction, is a method of writing a fictional book but in the guise of a nonfiction one. So it is using real world ideas but in a fictional world. Some what like a Spiderman comic. He is in New York he does things around places in New York and even reacts to real world events, but his New York is still a work of fiction.
