they lay eggs to further the existence of their race....only some dragons inhabit the bodies of others not all....they don't give birth because they're not made to do so....i.e. they are at least somewhat reptillian thus eggs.

I am not sure but having eggs seems better for them in their life style and the retile thing makes sence too.Well my first egg opend and you can see in my signature and here is my new one.

Asking why a dragon lays eggs is like asking why a human gives birth. Completely useless. The only answer to that question is "Because they do".

but there has to be some sort of scientific explanation as to why they lay eggs and not give live birth. so will some one who knows the anser please enlighten us.

its probably because they r more closely related to reptiles (scientifically) and reptiles lay eggs
and if u think about it they could also be related to birds(scientifically) cause they can fly and birds lay eggs too

Well if a dragon is in the form of a human than they usually have live birth. And a dragon cannot transform if she is pregnant. Wait a minute if two dragons were in human form and (birds and bees...) Would it be a live birth??
