I don't know so much about the dragonlance series, because I've only read one of the books, but the Death Gate Cylcle has got the coolest creatures in it. Especially when it starts talking about those in the Labyrinth, the, er...yeah, basically that's what it is, is the Labrinth, a prison pretty much.

I'll leave the rest as a suprise.

It's an excellent series. It has the blue green dragons of Pryan, the Blood Dragons of the Labrinth...very cool. Plus bunches of other creatures.

Woo! I found Tears of a Dragon! And at the mostly unlikely place, too....

Who knew Walmart had such good books? :D

Occasionally. Maybe. Rarely ever.

I'd suggest Borders and Barnes and Nobles. I think Copperfields is a local store, so I don't know if you've got one near you or what. Those are good stores to get books at.

Speaking of which, I've got a trip to Borders coming up on the seventh.

Just be honest with them. Say "Hey Mom, Dad, I saw this really cool dragon book on the web, can we get it?"

Show them what it is, tell them about, give them a basic overview of it's content. Come on, kiddies, parental manipulation is a skilled art.

runnerbeasts are a genetically altered horse. if u read the first book in the series (dragonsdawn) then u will see that the first colonists brought horses and mules and stuff with them but had to alter them to fit Pern's ecosystem and stuff

Oh, well I just think 'why the hell don't they just say 'horse''.

Posted: Thu Mar 16, 2006 3:48 pm
by niño de los dragones
because horse does not sound as cool as runnerbeast.

by wut2say
and because they r not horese cause they were genitically altered to become another beast all togethter.........soooooooo wuts ur problem with them calling tehm runnerbeasts? if u read teh first book then it would make sense to you so read it!

by niño de los dragones
well if it was geneticly altered by a sentinent speicies it would still be classified under the original animal that it came from.

no cuase they changed it cause they didnt want their desendants to kno anyhting about their past(earth)

Ah, well I read the first book but I thought that they may have made a different species of dragon for the job.....

A) one man was suprized that the blood was red...

B) The runnerbeasts got the disease that the dragons didn't

These two points contredict each other so I was confused..... Although now it makes perfect sense..... Lack of Education!!!

how is that possible if they were able to alter their animals and have a lack of education. now that was a contradiction.

Posted: Tue Mar 21, 2006 5:55 pm
by wut2say
JISHY'S lack of education i think

and then the other ones from the book

Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 3:45 pm
by niño de los dragones
could it be that they altered their horses and then their society began to detierorate(ignore spelling please). causing a lack of education
