Why aren't there any General Discusions archived thread?

Why aren't there any General Discusions archived thread? I can think of at least two. That species one is one of them.
At the end of 2006, you will be able to make suggestions for thread(s) to be "archived".
This process is not taken lightly and I will review each thread, double check the information it contain and if I think the debate provide a clear answer to the question discussed then it will be archived and serve as reference for future discussions.
Of course any thread may suddenly be moved there if I stumble on something really good (it just that I haven't really started to look for potential candidate, yet).
