Heads Up

Post by + Silver - Orbs + »

Ok, due to our strange lack of moderators it seems I'm the only one along with Tempest trying to do anything.

So for the love of Anubis, please, understand if I'm not paying my entire attention to a dead thread, or am replying to one, or an chasing after someone.

Thank you
Silv

I think we should vote again, some one who's been here atleast a year and have over 500 posts or someone loyal.

The mods we have now are loyal. We do not know their personal life nor do we know what the could be going through on a day-to-day basis. I move that we have another election if and only if the current mods feel as though they must tend to their priority needs first.

Sorry for not being around much, my computer is playing comeup with random problems on me. And for some reason my IP connection has slowed down a lot. I have some time tonight, I'll do what I can for the RP area.

Edit:

With a quick look at the role playing area, you see I have "cleaned up" a lot. I placed any game with at least a page of posts in the arcive. PM me or Tempest if the game needs to be reactivated. I'll check on the OOC in a monent.

Same here. *raises Uzi in salute* Thanks for clearing the RP sector. Any chance something corresponding will happen to the OCC counterparts?

I was thinking that we could go along the temp-mod line, and create backup mods for each sector. Tempest and Silv could have them act if the mod in question is missing.

I want to see if Tempest will make an OOC arcive. I don't want to just deleat threads with information you all may need. But I will try to clear it up some tonight.

I know but having the responsibility of being a moderator means you must come online often and post.

Agreed, but we must give them some leeway for unforeseen circumstances. Something as simple as a slow ip connection could make it virtually impossible for a mod to even log in let alone actually moderate. So give them a little more time.

Actually a lot of mods have far -lower- post counts than normal members.
I don't post a lot in my specific area because no one posts there XD

dont brag, it's not nice......

I think you could have temp mods. It may make the "easy" jobs easier, and more are involved here in some way, that would be cool.
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

Hmm.but only a few areas actually seem to need more attention.
I'm fine hoarding the Artwork jazz because there's few posts.
It seems to be the General and Dragon Discussions that needs the most

The main problem is Chalgrish's last post was Fri Jan 05, 2007 3:13 pm. We may need a timp or replacement mod for those areas. I'm a little troubled, he was normally good at posting a leave of absence.

PM him. If he hasn't turned it off, it may send him an email notification.

That is a good idea, however, it will only work if he selected that option.
