Heh, have you had one of those dreams where you feel really smart and are saying things that at the time are making sense, but when you wake up are completely stupid?

*Me in dream, defusing bomb.*
"Someone get me the banana tweezers, these wires are colored by the light palette, not the pigment palette."

I havnt had dreams in a real long time, or at least remember them. I do remember one about 4 to 5 years ago. I was in a barren area, and I was jumping from rock to rock because there was no ground around me, on in the distance. I missed one rock and feel into a pit, and then I could see myself comming out of the top of my bed, kinda like liquid, and then drop on my bed, and thats when I woke up.

I think that means you have dreams of the future, but they don't occur to you until the event that you dreamed came true. I have similar dreams every once in a while, it's called Deja Vu.

One of my most memorable dreams is one where I whispered Brisingr from Eragon and learned to set my hand alight, then I preceded to torture my brother.

Another dream I had was when I learned I could fly if I just jumped and held myself there. I might have got that from Kingdom Hearts though... Anyway, that was the funnest, I flew everywhere and everyone wanted to know how I did it, I think I started to teach people too...

Oh, mine's more of a Deja Vu feeling. I kinda projected that, along with a chopped up definition of 'precognitive'.

Do I still get my brownie?

I believe that dreams are a spill-over from the spirit world, that paranormal realm where everything happens, but nothing results. Usually it is nonsense, but occasionally the dream is a foretelling of something to come. So, those that can, continue to dream of the future. The rest of us will continue to fight off the gorilla.

And for the record, my wierdest dream was this nightmare about being in a role-playing game where i was the creator of it but nobody did what I intended and the whole thing went awry. Wait, that sounds familiar.

*raises eyebrow* Meaning?....

Anyway I had a weird dream where I was being chased by this evil old women. Wait, she's been in three dreams trying to kill me. And I've had dreams where people I know have been trying to kill me. I once weaved my own that I was in control of. That was good. It only lasted about one minute though.

There were some dreams when I was about 7, all of them alien attacks. I remember one that there was this gold flying saucer, and if you looked at it, a laser would shoot at you. So I ran away, turning to people to say "Look at the ship", and they would die :D

Also, theres a way to control your dreams. Every half hour or so, look at your hand and ask yourself the question "Am I awake?" and, you will say yes, because your awake, but during your dreams you will do the same thing, and you will awnser no, and then you realize your asleep, and can control what happens in your dreams.

Oh, mine's more of a Deja Vu feeling
Ditto. I often dream stuff thats completley (or at least slightly  ) random but then find myself doing it anytime between a day and a year or so later. When I get flashbacks (deja vu) I end up trying to guess what will happen next...and sometimes get it right

I've had some weird dreams. It's rare that I have a dream that isn't slightly strange in some way.

Sometimes, I've had lucid dreams where I realize I'm in a dream. I've also had dreams where it feels like I'm floating out of my body. The feeling of floating is kind of creepy, and I usually stop it before it gets too far... but I do kind of want to have those dreams again so I can explore.

I've had a lot of dreams where the world is ending, or dreams of natural disasters. They don't bother me much though, they're rather interesting.

Most of the time I can remember my dreams, but sometimes I can't. Ever had a dream where you know you've done something interesting, but you can't remember anything about it?

*Ssskhenthrii rambles too much...*

Perhaps you were having an OBE (out of body expierience). Next time you do this look around for your body and perhaps a cord or something connecting you to your body.

These happen to me alot mostly when im bout to go to sleep but know i should stay awake and so my body collapses and my mind keeps going reaching into a plane i cannot comprehend and wondering around.

I also have done it a few times while in deep meditation. (the kind you where feel like its been minutes when it has in fact been more than an hour) I don't know how to explain it, sorry.

I also tend to do it in a fight or maybe that's just instinct that lets noone land a blow on me.

If you don't watch out, the mind wanderer could become a permanent nomad. I don't put stock in out-of-body experiences, most of them turn out to be halucinations.

And this isn't a dream, but it's still wierd: while climbing the steps to the library, I sneezed and pulled a muscle in my leg.

the out of body experience is really some one using astral projection and not knowing enough about astral projection to realize thats what it really is happening. sometime something traumatic happening in life can trigger the unconcious mind to start an astral projection.

Well my uncle had an out of body experience, his kayak flipped over and he got trapped...then he was floating above his body, watching the people on the shore trying to revive him, and suddenly he was sucked into his body and woke up.
And I've always had pretty weird dreams (like when I was Superwoman, or when we were throwing sausages and meat patties onto a grave to summon the ghost) and there have been a few scary ones.
I think that some dreams are meant to happen, like to tell you something or warn you, but others are just your mind trying to make sense of things. Like, you're thinking about heaps of stuff during the day and at night your brain has to sort it all out.
Some are just plain boring though, like when I sat there once in a dream, reading a book. For a whole HOUR.[/quote]

i don't remember most of my dreams, but i used to be able to control my dreams. i remember one dream when i was running away from some sort of army or terrorists. in the dream i said "man some grenades would help right now" then next to me there was a wooden box full of grenades. throughout the dream i kept asking for more things and then they would be right there. in the end i escaped and completed my mission.
