i am new to this site so i have a few questions....
1. What exactlly is a halfling? How do you get to become one and how do you know that the people on this site aren't liying about being one?

2. I am wondering if there are any really good artists on this site. I am no good at drawing and would really like a picture of my dragon drawn

3. I WANT A REAL DRAGON. Howcan i get one?

1) Those people are referring to a spiritual kind of thing (don't ask).

2) Yeah, there are. Go to the Artworks forum for examples.

3) Wait a few hundred years while humanity kills itself off. They should come out around then.

1. A halfling, in physical terms, is a hybrid of two species to put it bluntly. D & D just made a species of it.
The spiritual side is complicated; thing along the lines of transgender but go transpecies. Aka, not feeling as though you're in the right body. This ties in with 'Otherkin'.

2. It depends on the artist. Some only accept commissions (where you pay or give them something in return) but a fair few, I believe, do requests (images for free).

3. I. Hope
II. Pray
III. Get into genetic biology

1) If you can feel the traits of dragons within you, i think that counts.

2) Your welcome.

3) Virtual dragons... Like a screensaver, or a computer game, or what?

You can if you get to a high-enough level. You can get to a stage where you become one as well.
Not me mind. I'll stick to the vampire bit

How do you feel the traits of a certain species? Instinctually most of the time. Uh..ok, let me think of an example.
You're getting picked on, someone's calling you names. Instead of firing a few insults back, you growl or pull your lips away from your teeth.
That's an instinctual transpecies reaction.
Others include perhaps purring when you're happy (feline), giving a heavy snort if you're impatient or irritated (equine) or even giving a squeak in surprise (rodent).
Also you can feel like you're in the wrong body. Some get the feeling of being the wrong gender (partially guilty here) while others get the feeling of being utterly the wrong species or even planet (yes, I've heard it be true. Walk-ins is the online slang).
And you have the biological screw-ups as well.
I've got two sets of upper canine teeth and I can digest blood better than most in my family. Still, that DOES NOT make me a vampire anymore than having whiskers makes me a cat.

I need to dig through my older games but I think I remember a game where you can "have a pet dragon". But it was either on the Nintendo system or the Super Nintendo system. Either that or an older PC game.

Or you can have one on paper. (I have a couple of NPC dragons, and a lot of dead PCs)

I believe that dragons still exist, is any body with me on this?

It is with D&D. "On paper" is having a character sheet with the stats and abilities of the dragon, or dragon like creature.

A number of posters here do as well. I still just believe in the "spirit" of the creature.

I beleive the spirit of the dragon is still so very very strong so who knows the physical could be too :)

This is something that I go through alot as well. My friends have gotten used to calling me different animal names because of the things I do. I tend to pull away and hunch my shoulders if someone touches my head or hair when I dont like it. I also squeak alot if someone pokes or surprises me.

The strangest thing i've noticed is my nails, I keep them as long as they will grow even though it isnt that far and I keep feeling like I should be using them. The same with my whole body just not as pronounced. I am very flexible compared to my friends and when playing around they can never keep hold of me.
I almost want to cry sometimes with the feeling of loss I feel at times and I dont even know why. My shoulder blades tingle alot like I've got to stretch or move them.

I've always had that feeling of being in the wrong species body but can never place which animal and thats one reason I love and am attracted to dragons so much. I've just never had anyone else say anything about those types of situations.
