Hi to everyone!

Some may remember that way back when, when I'd just joined the board, I mentioned writing a book. Well it's done. And now I need help. Does anyone know someone I could email or call in the publishing industry?

Name: Dragonslayers

Main Characters: Jason, Mara, Merik, Daniel, Belinda.

Plot:
Five teenagers in the ancient land of Amylon are gathered together, to be trained as the elite warriors of the kings army. However, one of them has plans to betray the others, and all five are about to become embroiled in a civil war that will pit brother against brother and the living against the dead...

I don't know of any. But I'll play around on google this weekend, and see if I can find something to help you.

Sounds shiny. I don't know any publishhers, though.

I dont know any but you probably will have best bet of doing a google search of the company that published what ever your favorite book might be.

Most of my favorite books were published by the sort of people that wouldn't approach a new author, so...

I also need cover art. Maybe a pic of a dragon with a forest background. And I can do the research myself, I just wanted to know if anyone knew someone in the industry.

As for the publishing, try sending them a sample first to see if they like the idea. And don't go to Athena Publishing- I couldn't even get one of them to quickly look at my sample. Their response was basically 'we don't accept new authors'.

you could probably get Dee Dreslough to design you some cover art she has a web page that you can find if you google her name

Cover art will probably be one of the easier things to find a source for and the harder ones to decide on.
