Ok, so i want to try something....
Thanks to the magical world of school i've been writing a lot of lame poetry and i want to bring back the stuff i love. So for anyone who really likes to write poetry i want to try a verse by verse poem.

For those who dont know what that is: One person (me) writes a verse and then the next post will be another person verse and so on and so forth....

The rules:
1. Dont be a jerk and write something completely random, we want something to be proud of. So try and follow a story line, if necessary i will think up a general topic at the beginning that we can follow.
2. if the poem seems to be dying, say so and we can start another
3. keep it pg. we are writing a GOOD poem. like the type you overanalyze in school without the overanalyzing.
4. you're writing ONE verse. 4-6 lines give or take a line or two.
5. did i mention dont be a jerk?

I wont start until we have like, two or three other people intersted. and i swear i will get on a check, i wont vanish again!

Silv, if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it and yell at me. I'm rusty.

I'm in. I've actually started to get into the whole poetry thing, now.

This seems interesting. I've done this with short stories at parties and such, long with doing it via email, but I've never tried it in poetry.

Im iterested, but I think I would take quite a while to get a verse right, and by then someone would have allready completed it..

I'm staring into the starry night
Thinking of the things I meant to say.
The deeds that I now wish I'd done.
To lead me to a different day.

Ill make an attempt...

Nothing lasts forever
All times must pass
The sun, the moon, everything in existence, in constant motion
How long will this night last?

yay! ok, epic fail on my part. Sorry, i'll get better.

The stars are winking me answers
but i'm too far to hear their words
I must follow along my own path
and these knots i have been steering towards

I take the night into my hands,
Twist it, mold it, shape it right.
Guide it along its chosen path.
Until the sun will shed its light.

As the day rises from the dark
I see what i hold in my hand
Nightly clay starts to harden
Til without me it can stand

I'll try....don't laugh at me....


Now, it flourishes in the light
growing in bright rays of orange and warm yellows
It tickles across the world around me
Yet the picture of the night still dances in my mind

hey, i like it!

It turns towards me with new knowing eyes
I flinch at the truth held there within
Though glowing with day hidden inside
Is the knot of night from which its life was given

Night in day, darkness light
Spun around the stars and moon.
Within us all, the shadows live.
We walk the paths of darkened doom.

Are you kidding? End now, when it's just getting good?

sigh, alright. my simplicity is overruled...


Forever begging for hope renewed
we search the darkness found in light
Uncovering answers we did not seek
And fighting the scream with all our might

the call for help has been denied
then we regret we've ever cried
but lost forever we are not
while, hope still shins bright

A nightmare awakened, man's own soul
Bared for all the world to see.
A poison, easily controlled
By man's own will, simplicity.

though nothing simple is seen that way
In the search of it the strips are torn
And in those tears the way is lost
For now the simple must be reborn

Perception turned to clarity,
Complex turned simplicity.
Deception truth, conception life,
Trust risen from duplicity.

but shorn apart are these common goals
for within man's nature there is fight
and anything that once agreed
Is seen as wrong and not as right

as opposites will always attract
bringing the final balance into the world
a balance that is unwavering
even with in the face of unknowing

but just as in music the balance is harmonic
and one fell swoop can sour a note
the one swoop came in the form of a rebellion
and covered the world in a deep red coat
