Poem: Dragons - By C. R.

Dragons
Charming, graceful, entrancing in flight,
Scales and wings glisten in the moonlight.
Through the air they majestically soar
And announce their presence with a booming roar.
Acid and lightning, fire and ice,
Some fierce and vicious, others noble and wise.
Red, blue, white, black, and green,
Light on their scales makes a ghastly sheen.
These are dragons of the chromatic kind,
And they all seem to have one thing in mind.
Pillage, corrupt, strike down, and kill.
Destroy all things good, destroy at will.
But to balance the scales, there are the dragons metallic,
To counteract the deeds of the dragons chromatic.
Gold, copper, bronze, brass, and silver,
Kindly eyes and scales in the sun do glitter.
These are dragons of the metallic kind,
Who also have one thing in mind.
Aid, be kind, do right, befriend man,
Gain wisdom, (and treasure) and help when they can.
Charming, graceful, entrancing in flight,
Scales and wings glisten in the moonlight.
Through the air they majestically soar,
And announce their presence with a booming roar.
Acid and lightning, fire and ice,
Some fierce and vicious, others noble and wise.
