why do they use dragons so much in the bible to descride demons and etc? why not called demons serpents or lizard? why is satan called the "great dragon"? (by the way i don't workshipped satan).

Simply put, Christians don't like dragons, make dragons appear bad in your book, then the future comes around and Christians look to there book and don't like dragons because they appear evil. Then they go off and kill as many as possible.

why do the chinese called dragons "angles"? do you think the bible did too and someone as in the church, took it out so they would appear as just beings that harm mankind and not as heavenly creatures who are wise? could dragons be our "angels" just as they are our "demons"?

Asians in general seem to be more tolerant of natural creatures and seem to revere them instead of hunt and kill them senselessly as Europeans did just face it us Europeans are the more barbaric of the two

Btw i'm american about 1/4 german irish and dutch some french and a little cherokee although i take most after the german side

Well there are evil Asian dragons. And the worship of most dragons are out of fear, in hope to stop the floods that kill thousands.

TRUE

the chinese dragon is said to be able to control water and are warshiped in the way vamp discribes, yet I don't agree on the evil part.

I know they were out of fear but what I said was I don't think the chinese dragons are evil or good.

there is no proof that any of the dragons were good or evil. consider the fact that the humans are the ones who wrote history. for all we know, the humans were evil and took the dragons land in there expansion.

There is also no real proof that there were dragons. But I have been in long arguments about what "good" or "evil" means, so I'll stay away from that.

*facepalm*

1: Satan is called "that old serpent". He is also referred to as a roaring lion. Said animals are used as metaphors for that creature's dominant trait, i.e. a serpent's cunning, a dragon's strength, a lion's ferocity. Calling Satan a dragon does not mean dragons are Satan and/or his minions. Pennies and coins and all that.

2: Demons are not likened to dragons anywhere.

3: Dragons aren't portrayed well in medieval literature, yes, but then again I don't agree with the old Church's views on a lot of things.

4: Leviathan, most certainly a dragon, is not portrayed as evil, but as an example of God's creation. There are also oblique references to "mighty dragons" and such, usually vague and often flattering to dragons.

well, yes. levithan is 100% percent a dragon, but what about his counterpart bemothmen? is he one too? they say he has horns like a dragon. the jewish people call levithan a demon? why is that?

however a dragon does turn up in the biblical apocylips. Whether good or evil is un determined. People call leviathon a demon because of the things he does in legend.

What legend? If we're adding in those, then yes, there are plenty of anti-dragon references, but if we're talking the Bible, then he's still cast in a neutral, animal-of-some-kind light.

Behemoth doesn't have horns. There's no reference to horns. I don't think he's a dragon, most likely candidate is a kind of sauropod. And as to "the Jewish people", I wouldn't know what they call him but there's no reference to Leviathan as a demon in the Bible.
