The Holidays

I decided to create a topic all about holidays like B-days, X-mas, thanksgiving, and other holidays for easy access on memories.... also we could talk about our holidays here... I do expect this topic to be rezzed from time to time but that's only because it's to talk about the holidays...
so now we'll start WITH.... DEC. holidays (X-mas)
any one has any plans on what they’ll be doing??
I plan on drinking as much eggnog as possible (if I still like it).. I missed my chance for three years due to siblings beating me to it.... so now I'm just going to push them outta my way and get me some eggnog.... other than that my family are going to keep things simple , a tree, presents (my estimate is 2-3… I hope one is a new pillow) and some small decorations here and there…

Sadly this year, due to being flat broke, not doing much. Going over to my sister's place for dinner but I think that is it.

Working xmas eve, then driving 12 hours right after getting off work to make sure that I make it home (not my apartment in TN home, but home, where my parents live in VA home) in time for present opening xmas morning^^ TBH, I really don't mind- I haven't seen my mom in a year, so it'll be nice to spend some time with her and my dad and siblings^^ You learn as you get older and move away how much they really do mean...

And I done exactly that... I got the biggest cup in the house (my DR pepper two litter bottle XD) and filled it up with the carton of eggnog and milk and some nutmeg... lol IT'S ALL MINE!!!!! And All day it was only mine... until I had to share lol... and I had to pay the two dollars for Eggnog and the four dollars for a new gallon of milk.

I had a very similar Christmas. We weren't able to do the whole present thing, but my boyfriend and I were able to drive (3 hrs) back home and spend a day with each of the families (24th with his, 25th with mine). We got to enjoy good food, crazy families, and country living again for a short time. I even got a chance to go hunting (finally), though I didn't see any deer.
But now, it's back to the city and back to work.

I don't get to see my fiancé today, so we gave eachother our gifts yesterday.
I got a Quiznos gift card and a Hershey's Kiss the size of my fist.
She got Dove chocolates, a bottle of sparkling grape juice, a little statue of 3 monkies that says "see love, hear love, speak love," and a white teddy bear.
On top of that, I treated her to 1 one of the most expensive restaraunts in our area.
Overall, it was a great day.

this should get combined with the holiday thread I have but that doesn't matter...
I didn't get to see my GF this weekend so we traded gifts last Friday.
I got chocolate hearts (about twenty to fifty of them) and a little mini statue of a little girl pecking a little boy on the cheek (they look like kids)... this gift made my day because I was overly nervous about turning in an essay for a trip to Germany contest happening in my school and eating the chocolates helped calm down that situation. (my printer killed the essay so I was running around to print up a new copy of the essay)
my GF: I went with the theme of her favorite colors (black and red) so I got her a black and red stuffed animal (dog), a black and red necklace that I placed around the dog's neck, and some of her favorite (but expensive) chocolate truffles.( plus a little valentines card)
the gift was opened exactly how I planned it, first she would see the stuffed animal, when she takes it out she'll see the necklace, and when she looks for the card she'll see a big box of chocolates... her expression to the gifts was something beyond words... let's just say she was VERY happy and that I made her day, and possibly made this week a great week.

Nothing I can think of. I may boil up some eggs and color them for the fun of it. But that is about it.
