OOC: Defenders of the Forest

Story: Your people, the Elves of Tastractina, have lived in sanctamony with the other mortal races for generations. There has been no war for eons. That is about to change...

With the Human King, Astilimatu dead, a new ruler has claimed the throne. And he has cast his eyes on Tastractina. Planning to invade the forest he marshels his army.

You are part of an elite elvish fighting unit called The Forest Wevyrns. You have been summoned to a meeting, and the news does not bode well.

How things work: Ok..... this is my first shot at creating a role-play scenario, so here we go...

I thought we'd have characters already assigned. Just their positions though! You choose which role you want, then create the character. Here they are:

The Forest Wevyrns - Position: Captain. Race: Elf
- Position: Scout. Race: Elf
- Position: Spellcaster. Race: Elf
- Position: Beserker. Race: Half-Elf
- Position: Archer (1). Race: Elf
- Position: Archer (2). Race: Elf

Narrator - Position: Narrator. Race: not applicable.

This is how I'd like people to post their character choice and sheets (btw, this is the character I'll be playing, because I don't feel ready to narrate. Anyone who wants to be the narrator, post the word narrator in bold, italic, capital letters. First in first served!)

History: Rasied by her father, who was incidentally a member of an elite fighting unit like The Forest Wevyrns, her aspiration was to become a soilder, just like him. Having achieved this, she will not let her, or her father down. A excellent markswoman, she is someone you don't want to cross.

When I post the Thread "Defenders of the Forest" in the roleplaying section, I'd appriciate it if the person who becomes narrator could kick it off from what little story I've set up.

Isaac-I would like to be on this as wel and i would like the spellcaster position if at all possible.

Elfire-giant ball of flame that rises up from the earth.

History: Isaac is an excellent spell caster that grew up with Lysindon, he secretly likes her but is afraid if he professes his love for her she will reject him. So he picks on her so she might get the hint that he likes her.
He is also a very good healer. and can heal any wound if he trys hard enougth . He has wanted to be part of the wevyerns sinse he was very young .anfter his father died in battle he has strived to be stronger than him and has just recently intered the wevyerns but he is sure he will get stronger and smarter with every passing day.

So what do you think?

Chest: hard leather chestplate with steel studs
Arms: hard leather bracers that reach up past the elbows and into empty air. these have iron points at the tip
Hands: forged dragon gauntlets (hide something on hand and protects hands)
Waist: cloth belt with a small quiver hanging from the side
Legs: leather chaps with steel studs set in them
Feet: hard leather boots

Weaponry

MAIN:Arcane bow and quiver
Name: e'erflit
Type: Bow and Quiver
Design: has curly ques running all over them, looking like fire on the bow and void on the quiver
Magical Attributes: The quiver can hold a nearly infinate amount of arrows and the bow can not be stolen. the bow is also very very hard to break

Type: dagger
Design: a normal dagger but it can be enchanted
Magical Attributes: none except when enchanted

Magic Spells (A Few Examples, for magic users only)

ATTACK:

Spell Name:fire rain

Power Level: high but skitsy
Physical Description: fireballs are called from the heavens, hitting the ground all around the arena. Does not guarentee a hit
Limitation: small chance that all or none will hit

Spell Name: Meteor
Element: fire/earth
Power Level: high
Physical Description: a tremendous meteor falls from the sky, pummelling everything down within 10 feet of the crash
Limitation: very draining and is best used when ready to finish off the opponent

Spell Name:Dynamic Change
Element:???
Power Level:immense
Physical Description: power surges through body, causing the dragon half to take over and change body.
Limitation: can't remember how it begins and is only used in a crisis

DEFENSE:

Spell Name:wrought fire
Element: fire
Power Level: moderate
Physical Description: a literal shield of fire attaches itself to the dragon gauntlets, and burns anything living that it touches.
Limitation: works terribly against water and magic users

History

As a child, I was mocked because of my dragon heritage. It wasn't that bad, because there was a family that took me in and treated me like one of their own. It was then that I learned about my Dynamic Change because I was threatened with weapons. I hurt the children , but I left for a different reason. As an adult, I was kicked out of every place I entered, so I had to learn how to make myself more human. once I did, I managed to be allowed to spend a few nights in an inn or some sort of place. I now spend my days keeping to myself, wearing my facemask because of my teeth, which are sharp.

What are the golden rules for writting a character sheet like that Chalgrish?

Name: Iavas (pronounced "Eye-uh-vaas")
Position: Captain
Age: 23? (debating, but somewhere b/w 22 and 25)
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7"

Hair: Long (goes a little past the middle of her back), reddish brown (in the summer, deep red highlights become very visible), usually pulled into a bun, but almost always finds a way down and out of it, lol.
Eyes: Bright green
Build: Athletic girl's build (lithe)

Weapons/style:
Pref. Weapon: She has two: her scimitar, obtained from foreign lands "Ethuil Alda" (Spring Tree), so named for the ivory branch and vine design on the unsharpened side of the blade that extends down onto the hilt. And her other weapon: her bow
Others: 2 daggers and a small axe.
Style: Iavas is trained in almost every weapon familiar to elves and humans and even one or two to be found among the dwarves. She will use anything from her own weapons to tree branches in a fight, and her movements are extremely fickle.

Personality/History: Iavas loves good food, good company, and a good fight. From an early age she exhibited an interest in weaponry and was a fast learner, studying diligently under first her father and then other warriors before moving on to each new weapon, until she reached the level she's at today. In her house she has an entire room devoted to weaponry in which one can find at least one of any weapon imaginable. Tactically minded, she has an innate ability to develop innovative and creative attacks, etc, and has some knowledge of spells and the like, though not to the level of an actual spellcaster. Despite her flaws (the tendency to be a bit impulsive, among others) she is currently the youngest Captain in memory to command the protectors. On a personal level, she is among the kindest, most compassionate people to be met, but as a captain, she can also be as ruthless and stern as need demands. More about her to be found within the story^^

Tactics: A big fan of ambush and guerilla war-fare style strategy, and as such, while she is comfortable commanding large numbers of people, she prefers to work with smaller groups.

Build: Muscular(adur...uh berserker!)

Weapons:
Weapon: He uses his claws and martial arts but he CAN use a weapon.
Others: He has...a...ummmm......stilleto..yeah! A stiletto!
Style: Asher likes to brawl. Most berserkers fight with a big weapon, but not him. And when he flies into a blood rage...he flies into a B-L-O-O-D-R-A-G-E!

Personality: Asher is an enigma. He is a vampire, but he is alos god-fearing. Crosses don't work on him, and he has the innate ability to withstand sunlight.(But it makes him VERY grumpy). And TECHNICALLY he is a berserker, but he always has a cool head....when he's not in a rage. Most of the time, he is an easy talker, and a good friend, but you have to earn his trust first....and once you do....well...let's just say you've made a powerful ally.
