natural habitats?

here's an idea for a thread. it may have been discussed at some point before, but i don't actually know.
where do you think a dragon would live? there are obvious ones like sea dragons living in the sea, but what about the other types?
a thought i had: since some reptiles live in the desert, could some types of dragons live there, theoretically?
what do you think; caves? forests? western? eastern?

It would depend on what the dragon is like. Can they hibernate in periods of low prey? Do they need access to a plentiful supply of a prey such as deer? How big are they?
If the dragons are only a couple of metres in wingspan, then they could possibly live in forests, but if they're massive then the forests would be a little too restrictive I should think.

Oh, great. Another "what kind of dragon" discussion...
But really, it depends on what kind of dragon. (sorry for not being much of help)

there are many kinds of dragons. i purposely didn't mention any specific type so you could talk about what you wanted.
@ Dragon Rider, for example: if they couldn't live in forests, where would they live? they could hibernate if you want, or they don't have to. i never thought of dragons hibernating, but it kind of makes sense if you think about it, since i can imagine snowstorms making for rough flying, and the cold in general could be harmful if they're cold-blooded.
