didn't know there were any requirements. if there were when i joined, i guess i forgot about them. usually when forums have requirements like that you need 5-10 posts or so, but like i said i don't remember that being on here.
also, it's.. it's pretty quiet here, activity is welcomed.

Welcome! Please enjoy these complimentary baked goods.
As to your question, Drakel is correct, there are no requirements, go click UCP in the upper right hand corner

I'm currently going through the application process for university, but at least a lot of it, if not most, of it, is done now. I will be learning programming for uni, so any good sites for doing so would be appreciated (I have already begun looking for some, so don't worry.
My main interests are photography and gaming (adventure, action and rpg, but recently also grand strategy). TES: Skyrim and Europa Universalis 3 are pretty damn awesome.
Welcome to the site and awesome to hear about you going to college as well. I'm also in college for Computer Information Systems. xD
I hope you enjoy the site and have fun here. It's always awesome to see a new face around here. If you need any help with anything (though I highly doubt you would) just ask any one of us and we'll help.

Don't eat the cookies, or other baked goods. It is a longstanding tradition to offer poisoned treats to anyone who joins the forum.
As far as programming goes, I learned with the edX computer science one. It uses Python as the language.

I had a big post ready, but my tiny on-screen keyboard took too long and it logged me out. Anyway, welcome gre and good luck at college.

If you plan on learning C++ for the classes, and also have an Android device, I recommend CPPDroid paired with Hacker's Keyboard, both are free on the play store. It's a compiler for C and C++ that also comes with tutorials preloaded. I've been trying to learn in my spare time, it's useful to not have to turn on my 13 year old dinosaur of a laptop to code. It does take up ~160 MB of space, check your storage space first.
