I know, but it's just how people think. I think it's the Chinese who believe that...

Also skeletons can be raised from the teeth of a dragon. At least in Greek mythology.

There are some spells used on dragons to control them against their will. (By the way, I'm new here.)

If you have dragonology or the handbook, then it is easy for you to know that many spells are used by dragons and from their body. I do not yet have dragon dust, but if you recite the right words for the invisibility spell and sprinkle dragon dust on you......guess what happens

Dragon Heart is an extremely powerful restoritave that is also toxic.(If the body refuses to take it in the person supposed to heal from the will die from horrible burns as dragons blood has an extemely potent magic.)
Also, dragon scales are used to make magic reflecting items.
Anyone else need anything I can tell k, since I'm half-dragon myself.
A manakette is just a dragon that has a human form so people consider me a half-ling but I'm not.
I'm a Manakette.

Most dragon spells are impossible for humans to pronounce, but dragons or manakete can pronounce them easily.

well in wicca they try and use things that are around them so when dragons were more frequent then yes they were likly to be used but never killed for the sake of a spell, wiccans/witches preserve life not kill it then use it... also in some cultures a dragon spirit would be called apon to either guide or as a connexion so yea they would come in handy! :)

A no real dragon has ever died, those fossil bits are from dinosaurs.

Dragons have incredible psychic abilities derived from countless human souls it is their job to consume. Whereas the most formidible human psychics are lucky to levitate and coin or pencil, dragons use these telekinetic powers to raise their bodies to fly. This is why historical depiections of dragons always portray them with small wings. Without pychic telekinensis, no dragon could actually fly. After all, the largest non-dragon flyer, the pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus Northorpi, has a 40 foot wingspan, yet its body is not bigger than a mans', save for the large head.

although it can be argued that most eastern images of dragon seem to 'slide' through the air so perhaps they used updrafts or on a more mystical note, they didnt control themselves using mental abililty but the elements around them (hence the element dragons) like in this decussion air. (not that i disagree with other theories) :)

As stated on the Chinese dragons thread, archaeology proves that the earliest Chinese dragons are portrayed having wings. Common sense dictates that the oldest depictions, when dragons were apparently seen more often, would be the most accurate. The wingless, snakelike dragons are a relatively modern idea. Modern fantasy books, and D&D character descriptions written by people who know nothing about real dragons, cannot change the historical evidence.

can dragons be used with spells?

in my experience, yes! but never demand help! its important to befriend a dragon first of all! they r sensitive creatures who can sense selfish reasons! i have had two experiences! (i have terrible night blindness and years ago oneof my children needed a doctor late at night. i had to drive! i was going slow as, and could hardly see! near to tears. i had a vision of a dragon to my left. stunned, i asked for help! the next thing i knew, there was enough light to get through safely! i am always thankful to this wonderful creature! but the weirdest thing, from that day on. my son has had an absolute fascination with dragons!!
