I ended up going with a fighter with a longbow as my primary weapon. They let us join the current campaign so we can test the waters. Unfortunately, it's about to wrap up. A new one will be starting, but I'll have to create another new character for it. :/

How's fighter+longbow? I tend towards sorcs/warlock, but I was always interested in that.
